How Do I Set Link Styles?

Links join up elements on the diagram.  You can change what they look like in the following ways:

  • The colour of the link.
  • The line pattern (e.g. solid, dotted, dashed etc).
  • The line width and colour.
  • The terminators (the shape of the line where it joins to the element).

Some Default Options 


The simplest way to change the link style is to pick it from the link drop-down menu, which contains several alternative prepared options for the link styles.  These are shown below.

Click one of these, turn on link mode and draw a link in that style:

Changing Terminators


To change the terminator at either end of the link, click on the link and choose the “Style End” menu option, highlighted below:

This will bring up a menu where you can choose a new style:

The diagram will then change accordingly:

Changing the Link Colour or Line Style

This can be done from the style menu.  Select the link, and then click the “Style Settings” icon, highlighted below:

From the dialog, you can select your link width or line style:

Press “OK” and the diagram will update accordingly:
